ALEXANDER ESTATES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD MINUTES

June 17, 2019, 7:30 p.m.

36746 BRIAN AVENUE

Items discussed:

I. Board members, Cheri Van Ackern, president and Denise Hazzard, secretary/treasurer, were present at Cheri’s house.  Vice-President, Ted Ranieri, was unable to attend.

II. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.  Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

III. Denise discussed the difficulty of checks for the neighborhood flag display being deposited in a timely manner by the Lion’s Club.  Denise plans on discussing further with the Lion’s Club treasurer a plan of her becoming a surrogate treasurer for the club.  Hopefully that will solve the issue of so many outstanding checks and the hassle it creates for neighbors.

IV. Cheri expressed that there was still an interest at the annual HOA meeting in January to have a neighborhood potluck.  She is willing to open up her home (back patio) for the get together.  Cheri thought having it earlier in the year might elicit a better turn out rather than having it in the fall.  Denise concurred and will send out an invitation soon to see what kind of response and hopeful turnout that might arise.

V. Denise stated that since funds have already been allocated for the landscaping around the neighborhood sign, that Cheri should go ahead and obtain quotes and move ahead with a plan.  Xeriscape ideas were discussed, so there wouldn’t be a need for water to be obtained from the Paulk property.  Cheri agreed to get quotes and start the construction process.

VI. Meeting was adjourned at 7:48 p.m.
